Personal: Drawings

Influences:
-Haute Couture
-Steampunk
-Moths
The pattern on the inside of the skirt was taken from a moth wing. The skirt itself I based off of a Dior dress and tweeked to suit the sorta saloon style I was looking for. The pattern on the arm warmers was also taken from a moth, but this time from its body and not from its wings. (currently working on colour)

This one is done in Paint tool Sai. currently colouring this one as well:

And a little bit of Fanart. Porom from Final Fantasy 4. drawn and coloured in Paint tool Sai.

Comic: Complete colour page 3

Comic: page 3 WIP

And zoom, in one go most of page 3 was coloured in 10 mins. Funny, this was the page that could well have taken the longest (after page 1) to clean due to the floor and the fact I just had to have checker board flooring

The rough pencils of the comic I am working on at university. Pages 1 and 2 I am reworking a little as they are not quite at the standard of pages 3,4,5 and what I have done of 6. Page 6 I should have completed soon and may appear on this blog at some point in the near future.

Dr Wen: Doors

Added and textured the doors in the Mortuary/Morgue.

Got some scans of the comic pages as well. I will upload them later when I have access to my pen drive again.

Dr-Wen: Textured Mortuary/ Morgue

Got the textures applied to the environment then rendered it out to see what it looked like. I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

Comic stuff

Brief synopsis of the story:

"Lola breaks into the very mental institute she broke out of earlier that year. The reason; she was informed that there was a "sweet" that would help her fight her biggest fear and enemy.... the fish. Lola, not being of sound mind to begin with, does not realise that this is just some elaborate ruse to re-institutionalize her. She breaks in quietly at first, is quickly found. All hell breaks loose (and a few comic panels) but will she get her goal?..."

The first page of this has been pencilled. As the technique I am using is almost fully traditional, pages will be pencilled out very quickly in order to have this piece move along quickly enough.
The pages are pencilled in blue drawing pencil. scanned in and changed to black with the contrast altered to get the blackest black and the whitest white. Afterwards they will be printed out onto heavyweight matte paper and colour will be added with paint, most likely watercolour. These will then be rescanned in, the coloured fixed to look like the originals then text bubbles will be added digitally though not entirely sure if the text will be hand written or typed, this is dependant on how long it takes for me complete the pages.

Anyway, finally we have a reason behind the character concepts and designs thrown onto this blog

More comic designs/ character concepts

Main character Lola interacting with a patient and nurse

The doodle that inspired the doctor and the Doctor himself.

I'll put a synopsis up for the story at some point... when it's a little more finalized

Dr Wen: Basic Untextured environments

although these are also on the Dr Wen blog, I decided to post them here too.

The models themselves were easy to do, just got the daunting task of texturing them next.... something I have never really done properly... wish me luck!
